a psychedelic metaverse xD

well, this is very science fiction but... do you think that in a very distant future a psychedelic metaverse would be possible?
from what I've been reading, it says that a metaverse generally occurs in three-dimensional spaces, I don't know, it would be interesting to imagine what hyperspace could be like in a shared experience of that type... the hyperspace would have to be mapped because the space of a metaverse is supposed to have a certain persistence, hahaha, but I think that the world I go to on mushrooms for example is a well-known persSistence place hahah

no... I'm rambling... but it was fun to try to imagine a trippy with another person who is at a certain distance.

love for all 🌹

I think with time and a sufficient amount of energy, anything will be possible in the virtual world. We already have absolutely incredible visionary journeys in VR, such as those created by Julius Horsthuis and his VR "movie" Recombination.

When the VR tech becomes sufficiently advanced so as to be nearly indistinguishable from real-life experience, and people manage to find a way to accurately map the DMT realm, as you say, I think such an experience will become accessible.

In terms of VR becoming nearly indistinguishable, I'm reminded of the "V-suit" from the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy (one of the most fascinating sci-fi stories I've read), which basically pairs an exceptionally visually realistic VR experience with full-body haptic and sensory modules that reproduce sensations, smells, etc. Complete immersion.

Although one cannot mention "metaverse" without fondly remembering how Mark Zuckerberg shat the bed with this nearly $50 billion flop, I think in the future such virtual worlds will be commonplace as a way to "escape reality". And I mention specifically escaping reality because from where I stand, it doesn't feel like we're headed towards utopia. Rather, quite the opposite.

Guess time will tell.

If you mean it as a simulation, yes, I think it could be possible. But it would be a mere imitation, not the same thing, as close as it could get.

But since it’s possible that this reality is a simulation of an higher one, too, it’s difficult to talk about real and fake.

It could be fun, for sure.
