Right, so I pulled from 28g's of dried torch outer skin. Light boil for a couple hours, mashing the pieces with a glass every 30 mins, then filtered with a french press. Put the flesh in the freezer, and then proceeded to burn the liquid from the pull to a cinder ( don't ask :) ). So, what I'm wondering is, can anyone guestimate how many alkaloids are left in the frozen flesh after that first pull? I'm guessing about 1/3, does that sound reasonable?

see under the green cactus - the clearish stuff - thats cactus skin - alkaloid free - dont make the same mistake as some vendors - the stuff u have is not cactus skin

outer green flesh being separated from the inner white flesh

only 1 way to find out how much of the actives are left.

If you boiled cactus flesh for a couple of hours in water, then there will be almost no mescaline left, since it is very solluble in water.
Maybe there are some less water solluble phenethylamine's left though.

Thanks for the feedback. Just finished the second pull, same procedure. The flesh was initially bitter, not like it was before the first pull but bitter nonetheless. The resulting dark-brown liquid looks psychoactive, but I have no idea what kind of dose it'll provide SWIM with, which really sucks. Guess SWIM will drink it after slamming 10g's of powder from the same batch... oh well.

So SWIM wound up taking 10g powder and drinking the tea from the second pull. Felt like a ~20g dose of powder. So the second pull from 28g dried outer flesh yielded alks worth roughly ~10g of the dried flesh.
