So I was wondering something. It had to do with dmt (of course) and enlightenment. My very first experience and introduction to smoked dmt was with some changa I had in my possession for a little while. I waited to make sure that no one was home, and that I had a very clean and nicely arranged room. After getting comfortable and relaxing for a minute, I loaded the changa in the pipe and almost instantly after inhaling I felt it's effects. It was quite sudden and frankly terrifying. Immediately it gripped my chest in fear, and the fear then slowly rose up my spine to my head. I actually had the impression that some terrifying creature bit me in the head and lodged itself inside of me, causing a panic attack reaction. It felt like an arachnid, which I have a phobia of.; well I have a spider phobia espeicially. I realize that the smoking mixture known as changa originated in Australia. My question had to do with progression through astral realms/bardos and the processing and releasing of traumatic experiences and karma. I was wondering if it's possible to work productively work with dmt and especially changa for this specific purpose, along with learning more about the Self and the cosmos, and for working towards complete liberation and quickening spiritual evolution. And also to experience the mysteries of existence and beyond. Ok thanks guys and have a great day.

Hi, Yogi
First off im a newbie here, but have had a good deal of experience with DMT and the power and ability of it to help with traumatic experiences in life just in my own life. I really think i should post one of my experiences, its hard to write about, and deeply personal, but it goes to show just how special this molecule is. Long story short, it helped me overcome so much. Ever since that day i knew i would keep dmt in my life. Ill start writing that trip report, and hopefully post it soon, maybe tomorrow!

Theres so many intelligent people here its mindblowing and awesome, im sure you will get many great replies:thumb_up:

I've found that once you have had the DMT experience, that you can read through spiritual texts outlining seemingly abstract concepts, and you will be able to understand what was being expressed on a personal level through first hand experience.

You will be reading the Baghavad gita, or bardo thodol, or the bible, or whatever, and you will stop and think "this sounds exactly like what I went through on DMT" it gives you a very deep connection to and understanding of deep spirituality.

For example, before DMT the Sufi concept of "fanaa" would have seemed fairly abstract, while after DMT I have a deep understanding of exactly what was being expressed.

Fanaa (Arabic: فناء‎ fanāʾ ) is the Sufi term for "passing away" or "annihilation" (of the self).[1] Fana means "to die before one dies" and represents a breaking down of the individual ego and a recognition of the fundamental unity of God, creation, and the individual self.[1] Persons having entered this enlightened state obtain awareness of the intrinsic unity (tawhid) between Allah and all that exists, including the individual's mind. It is coupled conceptually with baqaa, subsistence, which is the state of pure consciousness of and abidance in God

Personally, if someone asked me to practice my spirituality without entheogens I would think it would be very difficult if not impossible, it would be like asking someone to cross the Atlantic ocean without a boat/ship, they are essential and crucial tools, however all they can do is take you to these places, the majority of the work still rests on your own shoulders.
