A Straight Answer

I am so sorry if this thread is an old topic, if so, then please let me know.


Terrence McKenna always tried to ask the Gods of the mushroom or DMT who they were, and where they were located. He wanted to know if they were inside or outside of his head?, were they just his unconscious mind talking to his conscious mind?, or were they existing in a completely separate reality?


What I want to know is have you ever asked that question to the entities yourself directly, and did anyone every get a straight answer??

What did they tell you that they were, and where did they say they were located?

I could never get a straight answer myself, only about how DMT acts as an antennae, and that they care and the like, but never who they are exactly and where they are located.

Well, I guess mine may be a little different in that I would like to know what the entities themselves say they are and where they are to the observer, not the observer pondering on it him or herself.

I think these sorts of questions evidence a fundamental misunderstanding, or at least omission, with respect to these experiences.

Where are YOU located?

Can you answer that outside of the context of human knowledge?

That is, what does it mean to be located in the US, in North America, on Earth, in our solar system, in the Milky Way, in "our" universe?

Seriously, how much meaning can you get from any of these locations, outside of a human context/conceptualization of relative geographies? How much understanding or truly useful information is really contained in being able to state "where you are" or "where you are from"?

We exist...or we claim we exist...but we still have very little clue about how we exist or in what we exist.

If we don't know and can't even answer these questions with regards to ourselves, how can you expect a coherent answer to the question vis a vis entities? Furthermore, even if you did receive an apparently coherent answer, how meaningful would it really be when unpacked in a human context?

To illustrate: What if the answer was something along the lines that, for the duration of the experience, these beings exist as a projection of your own consciousness, but your own consciousness is not located in your brain, simply received/projected through it. Then is it "all in your head"? How meaningful would it even be at that point to proclaim that it's "all in your head" even though in one sense that could be declared to be entirely correct?

Personally, I don't find these lines of questions useful or interesting as they seem to carry the baggage of an inherently reductionist framework that limits potential understandings.

I asked a similar question, I asked "what they look like" : I got a glimpse of some intense light and a feeling of cosmic proportions like how I imagine solar systems to feel like if you are one. But that was more of a deja vu from what I felt on mushrooms once and what I thought would happen in future human ascensions. The Eschaton so to speak. (But that was a very brief glimpse, the straight audible answer I got was that I would not be able to handle or maybe even have the energy to witness the full answer), but I'm not sure if I filled in the answer for myself since I had read about similar things beforehand!

I think my experience compliments Snozzleberry's comments and suggests that I atleast am not equipped with a framework to get a full answer out of it.

These are the straightest answers I've gotten so far:

Once I went to hyperspace and the entities showed me a picture of our galaxy, with an outline shown of the dark matter that encloses it. They said that what we call 'dark matter' is actually the signature of hyperspace infrastructure used for the simulation of this universe.

Another time I went and they showed me a 4D 'graph' that plotted the progress of human civilization. They said that they are watching us and that if it becomes necessary, they would somehow intervene to stop a coming global catastrophe, probably by changing the minds of enough people to make a difference.

It could just be a hallucination, but a very strange one at that.

An experience a friend of mine had on a rather large dose, he asked a large femalish head if this is where we go when we die. She began to tell him yes as well as other info when a large male-ish head appeared and was angry at the femalish head for telling him that. The male-ish head, while on fire, told her to stop telling him and kept barking at her in this strange alien language that my friend could not understand audio wise but knew what he was saying.

This doesn't prove a thing however, but its fun to talk about.

It was kind of hard to get a 'direct' answer in the way I would normally perceive the definition of direct from what appeared to be an alien life force in a universe, reality or whatever that may or may not exist simply within my own mind. One of the first abundant DMT experiences I ever had involved existing in an external/internal reality that at the time felt like a whole different point in time, setting, and dimension unrelated to my previous perception of what I thought my existence was entirely. I remember seeing the common 'greys' and instantly I actually remember thinking to myself this might be a one in a life time experience so if there is ever a time to ask some deep meaningful question then now is the time to do it! So.. I asked typical questions at first but eventually would ask the, "Are aliens/gods really real or is this all in my imagination/head." Unfortunately while I did receive a 'yes aliens/gods are real' I also received something much more that I wasn't able to first decipher.

After I sobered up and thought about this experience for a little while (hell I still think about it sometimes) and wasn't in hyperspace or wherever with the aliens. I came in terms with myself that it was very similar to a lucid dream. I mean it seemed much realistic/vivid of course, however I honestly felt like I was possibly talking back and forth to myself. I would ask myself questions during this 'experience' or 'trip' and the responses I was getting was my subconsciousness reflecting on what I as a life form truly deep down believed to be actual without an ego to twist the truth.

Now that I think more about it I would have to pretty much agree with a lot of what SnozzleBerry said. To ask these questions to entities however now that I'm a little older seems so redundant to the matter of fact that I am ingesting a substance known to cause chemical changes in my brain that produce hallucinations and to ask or even try to argue the 'truths I seek' (or should I say my ego sought) out of these 'entities' just seems so outrageously pointless. I would much rather just sit back, relax, and let the answers come to me as they see fit then force answers out of myself that I don't even know to begin with.

..as we was travelling with harmal/acacia haδanaepata-haoma, having lenghty, sometimes long-winded debates and ingenious poetry mushayra sessions with the righteous Dūraoša during the early hrs... so, once, while we still had some control, we asked it: "Is the true deepest clean-clear nature of Dūraoša in any way different/separate from the true deepest clean-clear nature of, let's say, intezam"??

It said: "No". It's just a colourization aspect if seen as distinctly "others". Seeing, or upholding the view of "others" as truely separate "other entities" being itself a manifestation of the more or less deluded mind. So we took this "No" for an answer. Anyways, intezam is mostly deluded & drifting on many levels in this and other matters. We often think (drift-play) about it, but stuff like that is not that easy to integrate. Fannah is, however, one of the understandings that we are ultimately after....:thumb_up: (..we think?) :shock:

Provisional I maintain numerous perspectives on this that are constantly changing
As new information comes in.

The umbrella of all discussion in my opinion is always what is real ?

This has been discussed quite well and extensively .
Personally I think this is a subject that can never be exhausted or
finalized in any sense at least at this pin point moment in our human story.

Nevertheless less the question " what is real " doesn't have to be a dead end to
exploring concepts as it relates to the dmt experience .

I suspect that Dmt entity experiences are not so simple and hint at something so
Bizarre and weird that it's beyond our ability to understand at this juncture in time.
