Able to see with eyes closed o.O

This happened to me before whilst coming back from hyperspace, my first time vaping DMT I was coming back and I saw my friends, who were there, and my blanket all fractallized, it would fade in and out as if I was opening and closing my eyes, but when I actually came to I asked my friends and my wife if I had opened my eyes before now and they said no. Awesome. Thx for the post made me remember some of my trip!

I see with my ears when my eyes are closed, hard to explain, it is like when you cup your hand over your ear and hear the shape of your hand, I can hear the shape of things and my mind fills in the images. It is like seeing but not the same for me. I learned to hear walls one day by just focusing on the sound of silence, which does not actually exist. It took some practice and does to work well when things are very noisy.

Likely not what is happening here of course.

When I see with my ears, so to speak, I cannot discern color.

At a family reunion one time when I was a kid I gave my blind uncle, who has no retinas, objects of different colors and asked if he could identify the color, he could and could not explain it well, but said they felt, to his fingers, like they were different temperatures in a strange way.

I’ve never had this whilst under the effects of psychedelics, but it occasionally happens as I’m drifting off to sleep. It’s quite odd to realise you can open your eyes and exactly the same thing is in front of you.

I’ve only every had this happen in my room, I wonder whether the fact that that environment is well lodged in my memory has anything to do with the effect.

This has happened to me once years ago in my room too, it didn't last long though. It wasn't crystal clear, but i could see a transparent outline or positioning of every object in the room while it was dark. Pretty cool!
