I have a few cuttings that have been laying around, which I intended to sell, but they have started to dehydrate, grow thin and go soft, and we are heading into fall/winter.
I figured I may as well chop & dry them and store the powder, however, do you think I should plant these and let them re-hydrate a bit before chopping them up?

My instinct tells me it shouldn't matter, but I imagine it might make the peeling a little more difficult if they are soft and thin.

(I know people talk about stressing the plant, but this is not my direction for the question)
