Hello everyone. There’s some acacia dealbata near me and I’ve gotten some Syrian rue seeds, so I wanted to make some aya, but I’ve heard differing reports on the dmt content of dealbata, so I was wondering if anyone here actually knows how much to use and which part of the plant to use? Thanks.

Acacia dealbata in Germany? Is this growing outdoors?

If the plant is known to be variable, the best thing to do is start with a general spot test for alkaloids, followed by some more specific colour reagents to see if any of those might be DMT. If it's still looking positive, an extraction from a known mass of material will give an indication of the potency of the material. All the rest is arithmetic.

Of course, you could just start with a small extraction and see if anything shows up. For the sake of sustainability, it's best to use twigs and phyllodes if possible.

Regarding Acacia dealbata, it is an invasive species in some places, but I can't find info on the alkaloid profile. One paper says it has 20mg /g of alkaloids but they didn't try to find out which alkaloids they were. It might be DMT or something else, desirable or not.

I would not consume before you test with TLC and/or lab test, to find out what is inside, we don't know if it might something toxic
