anyways, swim extracte stb using acacia leaves and stems, nothing special.. me thinks it was a baileyana or similar, as it was unlabeled in the place found, but resembled baileyana deffinately..
anyways.
swim had a nice little caking of white and yellow alks on the pyrex, after using naoh on a simmered strained leaf (about an hour) and pulled with a mixture of naptha and toluene...
the resulting alks were smoked to see what effects might come about (sandwich method in between basil leaves.. lol)
swims guess right away, from no visuals, but slight physical stimulation and a nice little stoned feeling similar to a few hits of stress, or a nice toke of regs (cannabis), leads swim to think that the majority of alks in the leaf swim gathered are P.E.A. and maybe some maois, as well as tryptamine, as swim did see some very minor shift in fine visual details, no color change though, so deffinately no DMT in this one...
swim is very interested, if swim happens to find an acacia that does contain DMT alkaloids, to extract both kinds, and mix them in a bowl, to see if smoking them together might work, considering what swim had was more than likely an active maoi variety of acacia...

long story short,
it felt good for swim to experience this, even better knowing it was only leaves, and no bark was harmed, but swim will deffinately seek out the whole experience..
swim would also like to know of any info on possible crystallization and pure extraction of the main alkaloids in such acacias, mainly the tetrohydroharman (i believe), tryptamine, and PEA..
would like to know what these three are soluable in without pulling too much other stuff, as swim says the taste was rather horrible (his guess is from using the toluene and lye)
maybe limonene will work better, and an easier going base (not NAOH) as not to kill any natural flavor and aromas the plant contains?
