Accidentaly poured vinegar in to my limonene

Hi nexians

I kind of screwed up! I was going to make an extraction and when I was going to acidify my water, I took the wrong container and poured vinegar in my limonene.. I've poured around 1,5-2ml vinegar in my container with 4,5L of limonene.
Is there someway I can wash my limonene? Limonene is hard to come by where I live.
or am I that lucky, that the two solvents won't mix, so I can discard the upper part?

if they definitely havnt mixed i would say you are lucky. if it were me i would try to remove the vinegar if its separated from the limo and just carry on. i think there is a way to wash your solvent but 4,5 litres is a lot of solvent to be messing up if it goes wrong.

I think they have mixed, but I can't quite see it.. Its in one of those white HDPE containers, which aren't that transparent.

Vinegar (polar) and limonene (non-polar) don't mix. Your vinegar is in the bottom of your container.

Limonene is miscible with glacial acetic acid; chances are your 4.5L will have acquired a tiny amount of acidity. If this is likely to be a problem, wash portions with sodium bicarbonate solution before use.

I'm no expert here so I'm not sure if it is a problem - I was hoping you guys might tell me if it ain't a problem? :roll:
Also I'm not sure what you mean with glacial acetic acid?

About the sodium bicarbonate wash: the process would be to dissolve sodium bicarbonate in to water, mixing the solution with the limonene and when the layers separate, discard the water! Right?
