Hello guys,
I just freeze precipitated some hexane and was left with some nice round crystal formations on the sides of the test tube. They melt immediately even after I try to dry the hexane and scrape them up.
I was thinking of pouring some acetone into the tube and washing out all the liquid and letting it evaporate so its easier to handle the product. Good idea?
Will acetone also help goo dry faster? I was thinking if there was solvent trapped between the goo, the acetone will dissolve everything and leave a purer product behind (that would dry faster.) I know you guys are sick of the goo questions and all so sorry lol.
EDIT: if this works i will post pictures and steps i took!
