Migrated topic.
Shoe man what Eq do you use? Are you an EQ fiend or are you slack with that? Im trying to polish up some tunes a bit.
I need to work on my EQ skills.

also, you need to make sure you got some flat frequency response monitors. I know you got the sexy KRK's which I idolise and lust after, but I use DT-150's, industry standard. 10hz - 30,000hz. very little thd.

you should check out a neat program called harbal though for final mastering, it takes your track and eq's it to the profile of a commercial track which you feed into it, so pick something of the same genre and it will master your track to the right levels to go on a CD. pretty neat really :) but don't get too hung up on this stuff, if it sounds phat and its nice and loud then thats fine. If not, people will turn it up or turn the bass up :)

@Pachanoi - I just saw eat static live @ the o2 arena (millenium dome) in london a couple days ago. and I got a picture with me and simon posford! WOOT! still beaming inside :D

have you personally given nyquist a shot, thenntt? Waves EQ doesn't cut it for me. Nyquist has a much lower CPU usage and a better handling of high and low frequencies, imho, and a better GUI.

Waves is amazing software, i always use waves for eq and reverb :) their convolution reverb is awesome!

yeah, I have to agree convolution reverb is great for a primo sound. too CPU heavy for general use though...
