Does one need to dry the bark of acacia acuminata prior to extraction. If I do straight to base can I add mimosa root bark? If so do I need to dry that also? I am looking at lex tek, but have heard Shellite is not the best solvent. Is this the case and if so why is that and what are superior alternatives?

Shellite works just fine. Test yours by letting a small amount evap and see if ANY trace remains ... Acuminata is best with an A/B.... (Vinegar and NaOH)
Once the bark is removed try to grind it as small as you can. This is best done with dry material in a coffee grinder.
I have no idea about mixing MHRB with it, dont get it in these parts....
