Advice needed on Chaliponga extraction for Enhanced Leaf

Migrated topic.

I have searched and rummaged, I've been sifting through the forum but not been able to find anything.

After having strips torn off of me by DMT, I have decided to investigate Changa or Enhanced Leaf. I have opted for Ayahuasca Android and Electric Sheep. I bought amongst other things, 100gr Chaliponga.

I was hoping to extract both 5-MEO and DMT from the Chaliponga and incorporate that into the Enhanced Leaf.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a Tek for Chaliponga extractions? Can I follow my regular MHRB A/B method?

From what I understand:

- I can follow my regular MHRB A/B method
- too basic pH (9.5+) can break the 5-MEO alkaloids.
- many defats need to be done

I have too many unanswered questions and therefore am interested in a Tek.

I know that there is already chaliponga in the Enhanced Leaf recipe, however it is time to do another extraction and I thought, why not something a little more exotic with a mix of alkaloids.

I am in a funny European country where solvents like Xylene, Heptane and d-limonene are seemingly impossible to get my hands on, so my materials are HCL, NaOH, Na2CO3 (Sodium Carbonate) and Coleman's. I may be able to get some Acetone, but it's not guaranteed.

If all else fails, is there anything else I can do with the Chaliponga apart from brew it?

one experiment worth trying is soaking your chalipoonga in high proof ethanol along with you caapi leaf or vine... or vine and leaf... what ever floats your boat...
let it soak for about a month at most a few weeks at least... strain... take caapi leaf or what ever smoking blend you like and evap menstrum in food dehydrator or even a rice cooker with a gm of your smoking leaf added and a gm of your spice...both would do nicely with a fine eye out for them...

you will have about 2gm of changapoonga... bioassays still await no ones tried this... but it should work. Ethanol extracts of chalipoonga yeilded good results in aya analogs in the past. orally though... not smoked. the resulting mix was quite sticky, oily residue... which might not be good for smoking... but who knows until you try.

SWIM is a bog fan of KISS or keep it simple stupid... swim has found that simple herbalist methods of extraction some times work the best and have many fine attributes...

Dorge, thanks brother. I will try that. I think it is simplest. On my last extraction I included what I had left of Caapi leaf and Chaliponga, it was a real pain to defat. I find your recommendation more feasible. Caapi leaf and Chalipnga IPA soak and evapped into Caapi leaf. :)

there will be fats in the extract even after evap... but that could just make it sticky... so what!

The thing that SWIM is curious about however is if any one here has any good cause to say that this would not work?
would any basification need to occur to make the alks smokable ect...??

any one on this?

also i think this thread might need to be pushed on over to the changa forum...

SWIMS current little Chaliponga extract :

100g of Chaliponga is sitting with some white Vinegar and Isopropylalc.
Some pulls will be done , everything combined, evapped down to a resin
he is going to basify with hot Sodium Carbonate Water which he will also
completely evaporate .
The Results are going to be dissolved in Acetone and Filtered ,afterwards
some Fumaric acid will be added to make all the alkaloids drop out .
The alkaloids are fumarate and not freebase at this point ... which is fine
for him because he intends to make tincture from it.

Its not very fast or simple but SWIM thinks ,he personally likes it this way .
What he dislikes about resinous ethanolic extracts is that they smolder rather
than burn correctly , it takes swim a long time to smoke these in his pipe.

SWIM has extracted chaliponga a couple of times with STB and a couple with A/B.

The STBs were pulled with xylene and alkaloids salted with FASA. Yield was a bit less than 1% in freebase) and there was no detectable 5meo.

He also performed 2 A/Bs again with similar yields and no detectable 5meo. For the A/B no defats were performed. the first time he basified with NaOH to pH of 10, pulled with DCM, backsalted in HCl water, basified, pulled with DCM and evaporated (i.e. double A/B ala Coschi in DMT handbook)

For the second A/B the basification pH was again 10, he pulled with a trinary solvent (1 part xylene:1 part limonene: 1 part diethyl ether) and salted with FASA, and freebased the alkaloids with a sodium carbonate paste.

SWIM does not know whether 5-meo gets destroyed at high pH, it may be the case since in all 4 extractions he included higher than pH 10 steps. But on the other hand some chaliponga batches do not have no 5-meo at all.

Overall, for SWIM chaliponga end-result has been identical to MHRB, only of a less yield.

no thoughts on whether or not a ethanol concentrate of the chalipoonga would work well with changa?
