amor_fati's Approach to Freebase Conversion of DMT (now w/ nontoxic pictorial)

Migrated topic.
I have a couple of questions.
Does your tek need to be done only after one separates unreacted Fumaric Acid and DMT Fumarate?

SWIM did your tek, but did it with a mixture of FA and DMT fumarate...from d-Limo + FASW...
He should have read carefully....but too late..
What he now has is (FA + Na2CO3) + DMT freebase + Na2CO3 + H2O(6ml).
(FA + Na2CO3)<--- Is this dissolving in H2O or mixed with freebased DMT ?
What this compound is ? Is there any way to remove this ?
pH of the solution is around 7.5 so he thinks all FA has reacted with Na2CO3.

Thanks

There will be sodium fumarate in the mix no matter whether the fumarate is purified or not. This salt is water soluble, and considering that both reagents must be dissolved in water for reaction to occur, it should never precipitate at any stage. The only contaminate possibly mixed with the freebase oil would be excess sodium carbonate, which should be readily visible and easy to wash off.

What would no bubbling in the very first step indicate? SWIM mixed .6g Fumarate and .8gCarbonate and then added drop after drop of water and other than forming a paste nothing else happened.
