Amount of Articles in Issue Three

In Issue one, we had 11 articles.
In Issue two, we had 14 articles.

Would it be an idea a set a fixed limit to the amount of articles, in each Issues, to an default agreeable amount? After which we can prioritize the articles for that volume. So people are currently unclear if their article will be included in the current Issue Three or not.

We might even start a poll about the amount of articles and which ones would have top priority (just in an advising role, not the last word)

It would also prevent having one have it all version with all the good stuff in it that can never be improved upon, that would be a seriously demoralizing feat for many, maybe even killing the follow op Issues.

This als means people should continue their amazing work for Issue Four, Five etc, just good clarity would be essential here to reach our Issue Three deadline.

Actually after a night of (short) sleep I was thinking about this again, and creating an 'ultimate' version might actually be a good thing.

Since after that, with enough ambition, we might all be inclined to set an even higher standards for any follow up Issues.

A set a amount of articles is something I still stand by though, this to prevent too much article creep, that always results into delayed deadlines.

I think it's also important to focus on page numbers. Magazines generally fall in a range of around 80-100 pages, so considering that article lengths will vary like those of the last issue I think 15 should probably be able to push us over that 80 page mark. Of course this also heavily depends on the formatting of the magazine, but even still I think 15 is a good solid number to have set.

That is of course if we didn't do an 'ultimate version', which does sound pretty cool. I agree with your original post though that if we plan on sustaining this it'd be good to not pack everything into one issue.

That said, an omnibus might be a cool idea if we get enough issues out
