I've searched and read the htreads abou n oxide, but i have a few specific questions..

if leaves are used from plants, that are said to contain nn-dmt, but might just have converted to n-oxide already, just to be sure,

what acids would be suffice to use as not to destroy any delicate alkaloids / oxides?

my guess is that HCL might be too harsh, but then again would probably work if it is really really diluted...

im gonna guess that lye would destroy much too, so maybe some kind of carbonate instead, to be used to base?

please send me some love for this, i would also like to know what n-oxide is soluable in as far as solvents (non polar of course)

toluene smells junky but might work.. any ideas for the best way to get something out of leaves?
(specifically acacia leaves)
thanks.
peace.

I'm thinking calcium hydroxide (hydrated lime) might be helpful as a "weak" base. This popped in my head when you mentioned "carbonate." Calcium hydroxide and water make calcium carbonate. As far as a "weak" acid, I'm not sure. People do complain about acetic acid not being very strong. One could possibly use the lime/limonene/vinegar tek by 69ron.

I would think any acid/base would work for you, if you diluted it enough. Just bring the pH to the minimum required instead of taking it to the extreme. It will just mean that you have to do more pulls with the acid and that since your base wasn't very strong that some of the goodies will not get freebased.
ie, you won't get much yield using weak acids and bases. Am I getting this right? I might be completely off.

Am I getting your question? You are looking for a base and an acid that won't destroy the delicate structure of the molecule, right? LSA degrades easily, one might want to use acids and bases that are used for a LSA extraction.
