There's an old film called Animals are Beautiful People, that shows footage of several different animals waiting for fruit to ferment and fall off a tree before eating. They all get pretty drunk. Imagine a giraffe stumbling foot over foot.

It's nice to see that someone finally focuses on the animal experience of psychedelics and not just: ' Let's dose these lab mice up with some fine LSD and count its head-twitch response '.

It's so nice that they also show to hangover part of alcohol consumption:grin: . I think I've read somewhere (was it Entangled Life by M. Sheldrake (2020)?) that humans became 'superior' to animals thanks, among other things, to a mutation which allowed humans to still operate better when hangover in comparison to other animals. So, if all fruit was fermented, humans could still eat it & become drunk but also handle the hangover/drunkenness to not starve to death...
