I thoughi i lost the great cappi leaf i had from years back..but i found some left over leaf...its very dry and still active! This should be a good safer substitute for that nasty rue!
Put a pinch last night in water ..looked at it under black light...and it glowed strongly!
Will give it a try soon!

Do you have a picture of the glow, and the leaves themselves? And is this black caapi from banisteriopsis, or the one that iirc people were claiming was in fact Alicia anisopetala?

Something I've noticed, at least as an analogy, is that in the case of sea buckthorn extracts where there's quite a compelling β-carboline-style fluorescence, this doesn't necessarily correspond to there being a useable concentration of RIMA in the plant material.

Did you manage to use these leaves as an effective source of MAOI before?

yes i used those leaves 3 or 4 years back and found that species to be quite potent!

its hard to get the glow picture right with a simple camera...

ive read that if the leaves were kept dry they will stay active for years...back then...black cappi leaves were concidered very effective even more so than the black capi vine...

i still have a large bag of ....young cappi from the big island..that was suposed to be growing on the .....late dmt kings property.......but i think it might be fake. capi leaf?..

but this older leaf is in a marked bag...thats labeled [natural herbal tea leaf....

after putting it in water then in front of black light....it had a strong glow...and got on my fingers...but after sitting at room temperature over night the glow weakened some....

the leaves i got from the big island ...didnt glow much at all..?
