Well, another year gone by, so it was time to extract the salvinorin A from the past year’s harvest. (Here’s the previous year’s )

Over the past year, I harvested about 475g of salvia. I took 366g for extraction, and got 1.149g of salvinorin A – a yield of 0.31%, which is very good.

So now I have over 2g of salvinorin A. Hmm…

NEVER ATTEMPT TO VAPORIZE SALVINORIN A IN PURE FORM. A STRONG DOSE IS ABOUT 1mg!!

Great pictures, Gibran. Wouldn't mind some of that myself..haha!!- I guess you'll be making ciggie impregnated paper out of that stuff?? 😉
 
wow that is a lot of salvinorin A. this will last till the end of the world :)

Do you have any plan how to use all of that ? Maybe some project you have in mind ?

I’m not sure what I’ll do with it. When you grow your own salvia (5 or 6 plants at a time!?) it’s easy to end up with a surplus. (As a result, I’ve decided to grow only one plant at a time from now on.) Maybe I’ll do some crystallization experiments. If I dare, I might even try some in the GVG. And the salvinorin-infused cigarette papers idea sounds interesting.

Back to the surplus:

--- 2g salvinorin A (about 2000 doses)
--- 30g 20X extract (about 1500 doses)
--- 75g plain leaf (nearly 200 doses)
--- 1 live plant

Considering that I use salvia maybe once a month at the most, that gives me a 300 year supply.

Oh my! :shock:


edit: If only there was a DMT-containing plant that yielded as many doses as quickly, easily, and inconspicuously as salvia.

Dear Gibran, i understand just how stressful it must be to digest the thought of consuming all that salvinorin A, all 300 years worth of it, before your next 300 year lot, next year. I truly am feeling your predicament..:) :lol:

..> ERM!!, looks like you'll need to "give some away" to "someone, or sometwo, or some hundred" before it goes off, or consumes you, haha!! 😉
 
thats really great gibran. I have alot of salvia here and will be taking cuttings again soon so I think I will do another extraction this year.

Can you elaborate a bit on the crystallization experiments ? What would be the purpose of doing it ?

I’m thinking I might re-crystallize using ethanol or acetone:water mixes in various ratios just to see if I can get large and/or ultra-pure crystals.

Regarding sharing: I have a friend who I introduced to salvia a couple of years ago, and his first try didn’t yield any effects, so naturally he took a massive dose (when I wasn’t around to tell him he was taking way too much). He unsurprisingly had a bad experience and vowed never to try again. I showed him my salvinorin A and he said it made him feel nauseous just looking at it. :(

DEAR GIBRAN,
I promise you, that if you showed me your Salvinorin A, that i wouldn't feel nauseous looking at it:d , i also will say that it was so rude of your undeserving friend to act so. He certainly never deserved it- like i do!! :lol:
 
Truly inspiring. I'm definitely going to attempt to refine my extract with IPA and naphtha next go around. Maybe I'll have some nice pics to post too! :)
