OK - the model cement might be MEK, so it's best to double-check. (@somewhereoverhere) There's a low-odour white spirit used as oil paint thinners which is medium naphtha but you'd need to check just how readily it evaporates, and whether it does so cleanly.
Heptane was also available as glue thinner/remover but I haven't looked for over a decade since I currently have access to most of the solvents I want anyhow. Plus I've never been anywhere near Aus (except for Austria ).
