Astral Projection

Migrated topic.
One of the hardest things to do to acheive AP is to keep your brain awake and aware while your body is asleep. Keeping your mind active at night is key. I have tried taking caffeine shortly before sleep because it stimulates the brain. I think it goes along the lines of lucid dreaming, maybe anyone who wants to acheive astral projection should get comfortable with being aware that you are dreaming. It does take a lot of practice and determination as well as meditation, I still need help improving it. I have only tried astral projection a few times, but always fall asleep during the process. After lucid dreaming or attempting to leave the body, I have come out of the stupor with sleep paralysis. That is the state I believe I need to be in in order to experience it.

For some reason, whenever my dreams are absolutely TERRIFYING, I have no trouble becoming lucid.

A few nights ago, I was in a hospital being fed and injected evil drugs against my will by a zombie nurse (that would zombify me, too). Just as my body started to contort, transform, ooze, die, rot, and whatever, I thought, "This is too terrible to be true!"

So I screamed, and screamed, and screamed in my dream, until I woke up. :x

Nightmares always work like a charm. But checking for clocks, or doorknobs, lightswitches, or looking at the hands seems equally appealing.

The subconscious needs further reprogramming...
