So - someone should explain how ammonia washes work. It should not have disappeared, right.!? Was it ammonia..?

If it was dmt, then I thought ammonia will only rinse away lye (OH-) impurities, and the dmt stays in the filter. Then you dry the dmt in the filter as the ammonia solution will evaporate out with the water.. .that's it, right..?

Washing your yeild, or having to wash means the tek was 'sloppy' or prone to contaminants getting in the NP-solvent. I still think that if you can avoid washing and make pure, ready-to-go dmt in less steps,  you are not making a mistake with precious MHRB.
