Attempt at extraction - failed?!

Hello, after researching for some time I acquired MSRB and attempted to apply an extraction technique as described here - How to Extract DMT Easily - A/B - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

I did everything as explained, with one difference, Naphtha is not available in my country, and I read on several threads that lamp gas (lamp oil, lamp fuel whatever its called) could be used instead, that I managed to find and I used that. After I took the oil out of the mixture and placed it in the freezer (and its been there for 5 days now) there is absolutely no sign of crystals forming.
The lamp oil says that it is made of "mineral turpentine", which as far as I managed to research is also called "white spirit". Yet, nothing formed inside.

I got medical grade distilled water from a pharmacy, I mixed it with NaOH, then added the MSRB, I rolled the jar without shaking it too much several times over 24 hours, then I added the turpentine, did the same for another 24 hours without shaking it too much so that no emulsion forms, then I extracted the turpentine into the glass pan and put it in the freezer, as I said, nothing has formed in it yet. I still have the MSRB submerged into the water+NaOH. The question is, is the DMT still in the jar and the turpentine cant get the job done, or my freezer is not cold enough and the DMT is there it just cant solidify?

As for the lamp oil I have no idea but I have heard of zippo lighter fluid.

What is MSRB? Do you mean MHRB?

Im not sure about your solvent.. Can you find an MSDS online or some kind of technical sheet n it that describes the content?

Sometimes, petroleum distillates have a mix of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Aromatic hydrocarbons dissolve DMT too well so they don't freeze precipitate. If that was the case, you'd have to evaporate your solvent instead.

By the way, did you do an evap test in your solvent to see if it evaps clean? Put a bit in a glass dish and let it evap, see if it leaves any residue. If it does leave residue instead of evapping clean, you should use something else next time.

So what I would do now is, do an evap test, see if it evaps clean. if it does, Id get whatever you have in the freezer and put it out to evaporate. Then see what you have left and depending on what you have left, you can smoke as-is or try to recrystallize in any number of ways.

If your solvent doesn't evap clean, then I'd remove the stuff you have from the freezer, salt it out with vinegar solution or similar, and then do something like the end of BLAB tek to turn your acetate to freebase.

Read up a bit, check your solvent out and let me know if you have any further questions.

Sorry, yes I meant MHRB.

Rense benzin - is that the gasoline that we use for cars? Because thats the only type of "benzin" that I know of/have seen.

As for the solvent, all it says on the label for ingredients is "mineral turpentine" thats all and then it goes on with warnings about how dangerous it can be to humans.

(What should I be looking for on the label in order to find the correct MSDS?) also it has a veeeeeeeery slight yellowish color, but its barely noticeable.

I will pour about 20ml in a plastic cup now and let it sit outside, how long should it take for it to evaporate and what kind of residue am I looking for, or the cup should look like I never poured anything in it?

P.S. I checked my freezer temperature, its -21C.

No it’s not benzin for cars. It is used to clean things of oily residue etc I think. It’s a cleaner of some sorts

You need to use a fresh sample, not the stuff that's sat in the plastic. Now you'll have to clean out your glass cup and start again. Be mindful of how you clean the cup as well!

Ah, okay, I will do that, tho 2 days later now, it evaporated like 80% and it still has some left. I will wait for it to evaporate fully, then I will clean it with water and papertowel (that doesnt leave dust) and try that again. Would that be fine?

Actually should I just take out the glass pan from the freezer and let that evaporate, or my next step depends on how it evaporates and I need to figure that out first?

Okay So please explain exatly what solvent you have in place of naphtha from the data sheet it sounds like if its anything like that then it may not freeze preciptate and sound like you will have to evaporate it to recover your dmt freebase solids and I would advise you wash the solvent with dilute sodium carbonate and water solution then with your end product further wash that to ensure you rid of any residual solvent

So I took the glass pan out of the freezer and when I opened it up, I actually saw crystals inside, its been sitting there for almost 10 days, but I dont know if this is all of it and should I proceed as the original tek suggests? I have attached images of the crystals so that you can see what happened. I am wondering why it took it so long, should I let it sit more? Should I filter it and scrape them with a razor blade, and let the filtered liquid stay more in the freezer? Should I just let it evaporate?

P.S. I started off with 100g of MHRB shredded not powdered. How much final product should I be expecting? ~1g?

P.S. 2. Also, the 20 ml that I let evaporate, there seems to be some minor colorless residue, but I dont know if that is from the liquid itself or its something that acumulated from the air, as I've been doing it outside.

I already got it out and its about 130mg, from what I've read I should expect about 1% and that means about 1g so is the rest of it still in the root bark, should I redo the steps with the soaked root bark until I get all of it out?

From what it sounds like to me for your own safety you should not smoke it as sounds like you are not ready to do an extraction at this level and can't be sure there is not harmful lye solvents residue in your end product that can damage your lungs also from the solvent your using iv never heard of naphtha xylene mix it sounds dirty I would 't use it and a dmt extraction should take 1 to 3-5 days depending on the steps you have done but some require being swift and not sitting there for 10 days and 130 mg from how much is probably from 1 pill if you have followed the tek step by step but I would learn and do some more research first before you harm yourself and return to this when you are knowledgeable and confident you can proceed with an extraction and do it properly not being a prick but lye is berry caustic and solvents like xylene are dangerous and can poison you so just be careful, and consider what you have before you smoke it don't just smoke it because U have it but I can't tell u what to do just advise you my opinion and that's it

I will be testing it with Elrich test before I do anything with it, would that be enough of a safety test?
