So I tried out DMT benzoate the other day using Divine crossing v5. The first fumes start around the same time it starts to melt, around 160-170 degrees. Stronger fumes appear at 180-190. I ran into a few problems...
a) The increased molecular weight and lower density (due to the more powdery texture) means you have to take around twice the amount of free base, so with e-mesh it won't be possible. But the crucible has more space and I could fit it all in the cup easily. This also means that you have to inhale more vapor, need multiple tokes and so on.
b) The main issue I had was that the vapor would transition back too quick, the inner chamber of my vaporizer was full of powdery dmt benzoate and I could even taste some. I increased the temperature up to 210 but had the same issue. Also, it wasn't vaporizing as effectively as freebase, after 3-4 tokes, there was still some amount left in the cup. I took 30mg, vaporized most of it, but couldn't get beyond the threshold level, probably because most of it solidified in the vaping chamber or in my mouth.
The good thing is that it is much much easier on the lungs although the benzoic acid smells pretty bad...
It would make things so much easier if we could figure out a way to effectively vape DMT benzoate! So I was wondering if anyone can help me out here, should I increase the temperature? if so, how much?
