I figured I had to make a thread about this amazing plant since after only one day of using an extract I am noticing results.
Bacopa Monnieri has been shown to have cognitive enhancing effects as well as anxiolytic properties, it is speculated that it may also increase NGF based on its effects. One such effect is that it slows the loss of newly learned information. There is much more to it than this but I don't feel like getting into it all right now.
I have only been taking an alcohol extract of Bacopa for two days and on the first day I noticed something really interesting; I have been smoking and eating Cannabis again for about a month now and whenever I use Cannabis I do not dream, or my memory of dreaming is severely impaired to the point that I cannot remember dreaming at all. Well, on the first night of Bacopa I was able to dream all night even after smoking and retain the memory of the dream upon waking, it was also a quite vivid dream.
The second night of taking Bacopa (last night) I also smoked cannabis and had very vivid dreams. Now I should mention these are not dreams I would normally refer to as "vivid" because normally I can have some very intense dreams, but in context with cannabis use they definitely stand out.
I have not yet noticed any anxiolytic effects (but I have been really happy lately anyway) nor have I noticed any cognitive benefits, though it is still much too early to tell, studies have shown it may take up to 4-5 weeks to see results and is dose dependent.
