Curious to see what everyone says. For me it would be "don't resist", it only causes pain and problems in any situation, psychedelics are a particularly good teacher for this but it applies everywhere in real life. Acceptance of everything as it is is key :)

"Be like water".

It comes from the Master of Life Bruce Lee, and there is an extract of one of his last interviews where he talks about this simple and deep concept. It became my lifestyle.
Enjoy it. :)

Be water my friend

this applies to all the married people

" Don't tell the women anything .."

I thought this was a quote, but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe I just thought it myself, lol.

"We are each entitled to our own neuroses"

I liked it since virtually everyone has some phobia, irrational problem, things that stress them out etc that doesn't make sense to other people. I don't consider myself particularly neurotic or anything, but to me the quote means "everyone has their own shit going on, including me. So try not to judge others too harshly when they act seemingly irrationally".

"You know very little"

...or... "All that I know is that I know nothing"

@Felnik ...lol...I needed to learn that some time ago, would' ve helped me alot :)

But seriously... Forgiveness is the ultimate form of love one can show another. Forgiveness can break cycles. Forgiveness can be one of the hardest things to consider much less actually do. Forgiveness will set you free. If everyone would learn to forgive many world problems would be non-existent. Forgiveness is the power to look fear in the eyes and not let hate fill your heart.

to be honest, i have no idea what the best advice i've ever heard is. i've heard so much good stuff over the years that i think its impossible for me to pick "the best"

"when you're on you're deathbed you are only going to regret the things you didn't do, not the things you did"

and "the truth doesn't need defending" is a great one for remembering to stay out of conflict

I'll go with the the first quote that pops up in my mind when I read the thread title.

"Just do what you feel." -David Defeis

Best advice is impossible to say... I can barely remember all the advice I have gotten in the last few months.

Some stuff sticks with you though, and I would say the most useful little aphorism that I live by is probably "Pay Attention."

These are cool also:

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.” — Aristotle

"Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing." - Albert Schweitzer

"Things are only impossible until they're not." - Jean-Luc Picard
