Best Way To Powder Shredded MH

Hi Everyone,

I've done a couple of extractions already, they worked fine, just looking for ways to improve.

I'm wondering what the best way to maximize the amount of powder from shredded MHRB, I usually just rip it up so there is no thick pieces left and throw it in a blender, but this just seems to give me a small amount of powder and a load of fibrous material...no matter how long I blend it for.

I've only used a 500W hand blender, is it worth me buying a powerful blender, say 800W ? Or even a coffee grinder ? Is it even possible to get almost completely powdered bark from shredded ?

Any ideas much appreciated :)

I wouldn't worry about that if your shredded bark is fresh what your doing is good enough, let it sit in your soup a bit longer before doing your first pull and you'll be good too much powder is not the way to go, I've always had much better yields while its still fiberous with a bit of powder :)

Even without powdering extremely fine i've always had 2% yeilds. The lye melts the plant matter pretty well.
If you'd like to further break ot down & try for the max yeilds try sticking your powder/fibers in a ziploc bag, get it wet but not watery & mix it up. Should be one solid wet chunk of material. Then double bag the existing bag & do 2 or 3 freeze thaws.
when the water in the bag is room temp. Stick it back in the freezer.

Powdering completely into fine dust requires 2x the water for extraction also. You could invest in a nice coffee grinder. Their nice to have if you need to powder alot of stuff (herbs, bark, cacti, mushrooms, etc.)

Yeah I might try this when I have time, thanks.

I think for the next go I'll just blend as normal, seems it doesn't matter too much...
