Better way to scrape?

Hello all! I’ve been doing extractions for awhile now and have gotten pretty comfortable with it. However, after the solvent is poured off and the glass dish i
Has dried, scraping and collecting the crystals is a pain in the ass for me. I wanted to see if there was anyone who had a better way.

Currently, I scrape it up with a razor blade, and use it to scoop up the crystals to go into little cylindrical vials, with the help of a tiny funnel. I then wash the dish with hot solvent to collect what I couldn’t.

I feel like somebody had had to have come up with a cool, slick trick or method to scrape up and collect the crystals.

Be great if folks would weigh in on this with suggestions.

Thanks!

blig-blug…. You like it because you are curious for alternate solutions or do you have a better way yourself?

I’d recommend using one edge razor blade instead of a knife razor blade if that’s what you use. The one edge razor blade you can bend a little so it’s better to scrape from corners and it has comfortable edge to push on.

Yes! Corners! I hate the corners! I use this scraper. Ill attach a picture. It works great, but corners suck.
I just know somebody is gonna reply to this with an awesome solution and it’s gonna blow my mind. I can feel it…

I hope so. I’ll be waiting for it also…

haha funny to see this drives someone else as crazy as it drives me.. somehow everytime i get to the scrape part i sit down at my table thinking "yes, 5 min away from weighing my yield!". then 45 minutes later i'm still sitting there frustrated while trying to use one razor to scrape the sticky spice from the other razor back and forth and so on.

i'll be waiting with my fingers crossed as well. surely there's an oldhead with some sacred scraping knowledge to share 🤞

Scrape very lightly to take all the non sticky fluff off the top. Then a second time a bit harder and see what you get. Lastly, just wash the sticky stuff off with Isopropyl and let it evaporate onto some herbs for a nice smoke.

I'm also using a razor blade, small, flexible one. And using the most smooth cornered pyrex I can find. Curves scrape better than right angles.

Use what's left on the plate to make Changa.
Iso alch., stir, add herb, dry.
Scrape up herb, what's left you can just wash off. It's not much at that point.
