Big stupid STB fix.

So Swim used 1ml naptha per gram of bark and done 5 pulls, not realising that this 1ml of naptha per gram of bark was ment to be spread out over 5 pulls. Not repeated 5 times.

This left her with 1250ml naptha. Which is both silly and impractical.
It has since been evaporated down to about 600ml
Now for the fix.

She found 5% acetic acid in the form of a liter of vinegar in her house.
And she found a can of naptha.

So she was gonna pull the dmt out the 1250ml naptha using acidic water.. or just a liter of vinegar.
Re basify..
then pull using 200ml hot/warm naptha.
That should mean she will have 5 pulls worth of dmt in 200ml naptha. That should freeze precip.
It will be left for 48 hours, and then the naptha decanted off and evaporated down for further freeze precipitating just in case there's anything left.

Swims question is this: Should Swim add the vinegar to the naptha...Shake,
then add some water,
then make a saturated lye solution and add that?

Swim dont think adding lye straight to 5% acetic acid is a good idea. She is no chemistry major but she can see that being energetic.

I believe the 1ml of naptha per gram is divided into multiple pulls. So 250 grams of bark would have maybe 5 pulls, with 50ml per pull.

Or did you do a mega extraction on 1250 grams?:shock:

Anyway, I think your plan is sound. I had a messed up extraction that I fixed by using the same process. It's a STB/A/B!

Just to update...
Swim told me she done this:

So for Swims large volume of naptha (from an stb), 600ml... Swim added 500ml of 5% acetic acid.
Shook the shit outta it.
(the layers were left to seperate for a good ten minutes)
Pulled of the naptha and saved for a rainy day.

Added a lye solution of 50-100g for 300ml water... approx (no scales at Swims Girls house)
The whole thing went white and cloudy.
Shook the shit outta it.

Added Hot naptha (100ml) & shook the shit outta it.
Sat in a hot water bath, regularly shook the shit outta it.
Pulled naptha and put in the freezer. (naptha looking cloudy, nebula's of whiteness whirling about in the liquid)
An hour later there's a substantial dump of crystals in there.

To summarize, 5 pulls on 250grams of bark resulting in 1250ml naptha, evaporated to 600ml then transferd via acid-base to a fresh 100ml of hot naptha and freeze precipitated.

The original 1250ml naptha from the stb would not precipitate anything in 4 days. Was evaporated down to 600ml and still would not precipitate.
The freezer aint too cold either.
As soon as this re-acid-base was done, a dump of crystals started forming in under an hour.
Swim told me that she would send pictures and yield sizes to me after a good 48 hours of freezer time.
Would this be an STB-btab?

Seems like all is well. A few more pulls would be a good idea. Lots of mixing in between.
