How necessary is the vermiculite? Is it specifically related to the BRF, or its independent of the original cake substrate ?
Ive been following this method for my first grow, it reminds me of your method, with a few differences like not using vermiculate, hence why I asked. Also the other method is with small boxes, which some people say helps isolating any possible contamination instead of wasting a big monotub if it happens, and it's rye instead of BRF. but it's very useful to read different methods to see different ways of doing it.
Can you explain a bit why you say its a tedious inneficient method in your "cons" list?
