Brownish red Naptha pull

Ok so I used the search func and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Yes I am sure some one can and I am sorry to post this since I am sure it has been asked before but I am at work and dint have alot of time to post much.

So Swim did what was going to be the second to the last pull. This pull sat over night in a warm water bath and then early the next morning was turned on hi to increase temp of the naptha to try and increase yield. When the pull was done the naptha was redish brown not anything like the last few pulls that have been done. Pull before this one had the same treatment of hot water bath done and when that pull was finished the Naptha was clear except a yellowish ting. Swim figured some other stuff came over in the pull maybe because of the increase in temp and end results will just have to be washed and or re-xlized.

That sums up swims last pull and swim wanted to know what to do with this redish pull swim does not want to mix it with his other pulls so for the time swim is keeping the redish pull in a separate container.

Hi, heres the original thread about the red brown naphta pull problem

Basically what you should do is: simply leave your brownish pulls somewhere where there is a slight vibration like your computer and just leave it there for a few days.
All the brown sutff should fall,then take a funnel,make a ball with a piece of kleenex so it fits inside the whole of the funnel and pour your pull carefully throught the
funnel with a baster or by hand ,so your dont get any of the oils in your clean pull.

I posted my tek to clean it up in there (on page 2), which works a little faster than letting it sit for days - since that never seemed to work for me... My tek requires you to use IPA or acetone additionally though. Also for the very last pulls whatever you get from the IPA/acetone pull might be a little dirty/dark and I wouldn't smoke it. However what you freeze precipitate, once the brown stuff is out, is white and yummi.

Well there's some other options mentioned in the threads, so hope you find one that suits you and works.
