Caapi extraction?

If i make an extraction with acetone, will the product be only smokable or could i take it orally?

As long as your acetone evaps cleanly and you make sure its all evaporated you should be fine.

I have made very good hash oil with the same acetone many times so it should be no problem..

If you just do an acetone soak your final product will be in salt form, meaning that it will not be ideal for smoking. Also, I have no idea about the efficiency of extracting from caapi with acetone...why wouldn't you use one of the tried and true methods? Either an A/B extraction to yield smokable fb harmaloids or, to yield salts, an ethanol/water soak using 60% ethanol (for anywhere from 1 to 3 or more weeks), which has been determined by Jorkest to be the most efficient ethanol/water ratio for caapi extraction (at least afaik, based on the last time we spoke about that).

CBDs and Harmala alkaloids are completely different chemicals...why would your hash-oil extraction have any bearing on a caapi extraction?

I meant that it evaporates cleanly...

I was told at another forum that acetone could be used, i already have a jar soaked but i only used 50g of caapi so it was no big waste.

Will try another extraction next time.

Is it possible to put the soaked caapi together with the acetone and do a normal water +vinegar extraction?

Wouldnt all the acetone boil away?
