Caapi Only vs Caapi w/DMT Experience Question

Could those who have experienced both enlighten me please...

A Caapi only tea experience compared to a Caapi & Admixture (Like Mimosa or Chacruna).

I've had a Caapi only brew and I wasn't massively impressed with it, but the more I've spoke about it the greater appreciation for the experience I've had. I am just curious how the experience compares between the two brew types from those who have experience.

What was the caapi ? How did you brew? How much did you take?

Pure caapi correctly brewed in large dosages can be very potent, also a lot of body load, nausea, light sensitivity, difficulty walking, etc. There are visions but they are less like clear images, but more dream-like.

When DMT is added, the visuals are distinct, they are clearer, often more colorful, shiny. I also think the more 'alien' side of some ayahuasca experiences comes from DMT.

I think both can be healing and learning in their own way, but I usually take caapi by itself only when finding the dosage for a certain batch, but after I know that, I always mix with the DMT admixture. Feels more complete to me that way.

We can describe all we want but in the end, only once you try them both a few times in different dosages can you really know what works better for you

Personally, a caapi only brew even up to 100grams is absolutely nothing compared to ~50g of caapi and a small amount of DMT admixture.

Ayahuasca is a special vine, but in my humble opinion it has the most to teach when mixed with other plants or plant extracted alkaloids.

With that being said, I have had friends who had amazing experiences from caapi or caapi alkaloids alone, but I don't fall into that camp.

As endelessness mentioned, each batch of caapi will have a different potency depending on preparation method as well as natural alk content.

I took 50g at the 3x3 brew, which was interesting in its own way but I think I had expectations of something else. I am going to do it again in a week or so and see what I get out of it. I am thinking that my expectations are more in line with a DMT admixture.

Having never took anything remotely similar to DMT (aside from Caapi?) in it's own way is a bit daunting.

3 x 3 hours is very short boils compared to the more traditional approaches.
Long boils is like from 3 x 8 hours upto 3 x 24 hours in a crock pot.
The short boils are not wrong, but the long boils have a record of being superior.
Shredded or powdered? That too influences extraction time.

Also, 50 gr is like a 'standard' for use with dmtee.
For meeting the vine spirit on it's own, the number doubles easily, and more.

So if I were to go with a longer 100g brew and reduce does that change the experience or just amp up the experience of a 50g dosage? Also is there no sort of safety threshold? Can't say I have read it, I've heard people doing 500g brews but surely there is a point where it is too strong or doesn't alter the experience any.

Also if I were to do a 100g brew I assume I would be drinking it all in one session or do I only drink part?

Personal sensitivity is paramount here.
Overdosing with caapi, never heard of it, if too much the body will throw out for sure, the more vine, the more emetic, that's for sure.

Jees, I want to thank you for that PDF link, fascinating reading...it has tied together so many loose ends of this process that I'd not understood.
