Ahh. For whatever reason, I feel I waited way too long to consume the ac. I had in my mind two hours. Perhaps this is why the duration was approximately three hours instead of four or more.
Interesting that you've NEVER cooked a plant! I would then guess you're not interested in isolating either? Golly gee, during my SP adventures I certainly wished that I could have eaten it raw however 2.5FT even after excluding the core etc was a bit much for me to brave. I have however eaten a great deal of raw peyote.
Yes we must be of the category of having stomachs of steel.

"And very interesting experiences with rue! Can you elaborate on the waking dream state you experienced? What are visuals and feelings like? Also would love to hear more about the militant side. Is it intense in a wrathful way (like stories I have heard with datura) or more parental?"
I can to the best of my ability given the long stretch of time since the experiences transpired. Some of what I share will be redundant but here goes anyway.
Waking dream as in during meditation with the spirit of rue I can be shown symbols, images, and colors on a "movie screen" with eyes opened or closed. It's as if I am dreaming whilst awake if this makes any sense at all.
I also agree with a prominent poster on the subject that the spirit of rue can show up differently at different times for different participants/partakers. Time of harvest, place of harvest, etc may also play a role in the energetics of the medicine. Militantly intense in its expression at times on the one hand and compassionately loving gentle on the other. Not unlike my continued exploration with aya analogues. Sometimes both qualities within the same journey.
The first contact with the spirit of rue was profoundly gentle, loving, compassionate, and sort of neutral if this makes any sense at all. I found myself in a dark night of the soul type place in life in serious need of assistance. A friend of mine out of the blue suggested I begin working with rue as he had found great help from it as an ally. The first few goes were deeply cathartic, supportive, angelic, and loving. Angel meaning messenger. No doubt these plants can be angelic which can simply mean messengers..
That's what I got for now.
Take care!
