Hey everyone!

My friend has been reading up on DMT for quite some time now, and he has finally decided to take the jump into hyperspace. As such, he ordered one pound of powdered MHRB online last night (it should arrive in a few days :d), but he would like to just verify the extraction process and materials.

My friend is planning on using Noman's tek, but has read some modifications that may increase yield or take less time. My friend is planning on doing either a 50g or 100g initial extraction first.

His main question is to the amount of water required for pre-powdered bark. Will 1500ml water to 100g lye be sufficient? (Assuming 100g MHRB)

And also, my friend has read that doing smaller pulls of warm naptha seems to work better, so should he plan on doing, say, a 50ml warm naptha pull and then freeze-precipitating it?

Warming your naphtha will pull more spice, but will pull impurities like fats and oils too. Best to stick with room temp solvent unless you plan on recrystallizing. Good luck!

Thanks! My friend must've missed the the part about pulling out extra impurities. He'll just stick to room temp.

Wow, thats a pretty good yield. My friend is expecting around .5% for first time extraction, but had heard 1-2% was possible.
 
Yeah, she got just under 2% with an STB - warm helps, pulling 5-6 times and being patient on the freeze helps. Don't throw anything away until you are sure it's spent. Naphtha that has yielded once should be combined and frozen again for ~2 weeks for possible windfall spice. She got a bonus half g...
