Can the Aegis Solo vaporise dry herb material?

Migrated topic.

I'm utterly new to vaporisers and utterly confused by the terminology...

I want to get an Aegis Solo for spice - even though the strips of mesh look too small to load onto...

But are there Aegis compatible add-ons for dry herb?

The Aegis Solo is meant for e-liquid, so to use it with the stock configuration you'd need to mix yourself some DMT e-liquid, which is fairly easy given you have spice, PG, and VG. I have no good experience here, but it seems to be a way to easily take measured doses. However with a sub-ohm device such as this, more e-liquid is inhaled at once, so you'd have to take that into consideration if following a guide meant for vape pens/CCells.

In order to do straight spice or enhanced leaf(EL)/changa/dry herb, you'd need a different top attachment/atomizer, such as ones used for cannabis. The Aegis has a 510 connection, which is fairly standard, so it wouldn't be difficult to find something that works. I haven't heard great things about dry herb(EL/changa) 510 attachments though. If you wanted something for regular spice, I'd look into full devices made specifically for wax/concentrate, but there are decent 510 options out there that attach to the Aegis Solo.

I have seen the Puffco Plus recommended as an easy to use concentrate device. I have no experience with it, but it seems easier to me to load your spice dose into this and use, rather than fiddle with the Aegis.

If you really wanted to use the e-liquid route, for easy-as-pie measured dosage and mobility, I would check out the guide posted today for The Jaguar, but substituting n,n-DMT for 5-MeO. You may not need multiple cartridges for multiple strengths, but using a CCell seems a whole lot easier, and maybe cheaper, than a box mod like the Aegis Solo, if you wanted to go the e-liquid route.

Best of luck!

Yes. A 510 compatible battery should be able to use any range of 510 atomizers provided you have sufficient wattage, materials, and device settings/configuration. Not aware of any dry herb atomizers that are worth writing about. Perhaps the Evolve Plus XL could work for you, but that’s by no means a recommendation by me!
