Also, that submission on the frontpage about LSD being largely unavailable now is ridiculously out of date. The Pickard bust and the end of the Dead tour did decrease availability dramatically, but since ~2006, availability has been increasing massively. As an indication, in the last 18 months, wholesale LSD prices here in Oregon have dropped 25-50%.

I think the fundamental effect of LSD is dangerous and imagining LSD as a person, it would be one dark, twisted person.

What makes that so dangerous is that it really fucks up people's ability to perceive reality accurately. Yeah, we could get into a big debate about what is reality, but for all intents and purposes, reality is the stuff people who aren't on drugs experience with their sense[...] LSD impairs the ability to perceive reality correctly all while giving people a feeling that they're actually learning and refining their grip on reality.

It's an incredibly isolated culture. People involved in it rarely interact with anyone too far removed from it. Because it is so insular, it is also deeply self-reinforcing. To the people who get into it deep, they almost invariably end up really, seriously weird. It's almost self-brainwashing, the community is so isolated.

7 or so hours later things were relatively backdown but still animated and breathing. SWIM lay down on the couch and fell asleep (the first and only time swim has been able to sleep while still slightly tripping), waking 2 hours later to find everything back to normal but with a glow like never before.... Reality was back, but it was completley fresh.... SWIMS experience had totally changed his life, he just couldnt belive the awesome world he had just visited.

Most of it seemed like he was just repeating what that chinacat, or whatever his name was, on shroomery said.

People put too much onto pickard also. The dea grossly overstated the amount he was making. Remember what leary said. Think for yourself, question authority. By their estimates there would have been more love on the streets all across the world then there was in 67 san fran just from this man alone. They said he was making 10 million doses a month for like 15 years. Swim has been around the scene for awhile and its been the same availabilty for him since. Pickard bust didnt really seem to affect anything except for the first year only cause everyone packed up and went on vacation. Pickard was a snitch himself and if anybody dealt with him they were idiots.

The scene def has changed. It not all hippie love and peace no more but this game is not recession proof like selling crack is. that type of stuff was going on at show's, years before jerry died.The last few yrs. on tour, there was definately a feel of desperation in the air, and there was a lot of beautiful people becoming strung out on H.....which will alway's causes people ripping other people off. In fact the only cid i ever got at show's were gifted to me.....i was lucky enough to not ever have to buy acid. I can't bring myself to go see the dead these day's.....i think i would get too sad.

I was at a widespread panic show a few months back, and i was talking with this dude, who was selling sheets for $500 !!! swim used to get $100 a sheet (early 90's) , and that was with a 100% mark up.I was in high school at the time.

I haven't taken acid in well over 10yrs,but i love that electric neon type of visuals, also those very cartoon'ish type visuals. I would have to be in the right setting for me to take it these day's....mabey out in the woods.....it's just hard for me to commit to an 8 to 12 hr trip these days. Also, like Wsaged said......i'm not in the same state of mind that i was in when i was 15 yrs. old through 22 yrs old (i started young).

It also got to the point where i felt like i was learning the same lesson over, and over again....it became somewhat repetative....i needed to find a spiritual connection (my own personal experience), and LSD was just teaching that to me........ except, for the most part we were taking it recreationally, so that's when i stopped. Although if the set,setting, and timing was right i would love the opportunity to say hello to an old friend.....even if it's just one more time.

I don't smoke pot that much, but sometimes when i do, i will get a little bit of LSD deja vous (when i'm lucky).

A friend just came back from an extended burning man trip, with some sunshine blotter, and he sais it's the real deal.

I think, like ron said...... you have to either know the right people or be in the right place at the right time.

Is it real? juggalo? Every day I learn something new.

But I was raised on Grimm Brother's Fairytales (mind you, this is extremely gory, morbid and cannibalistic) and listening to Kiss, so ICP sounds and look horribly recycled.
 
^ agreed. The do some guest staring on "professional wrestling". That almost says it all. I can't listen to them. It makes my brain bleed in multiple places.

How strong would a dose of acid like that have been? SWIMs never had anythign like it in the last ten years of his life. High dose of mushrooms is kinda comparible, but not, at the same time.

SIWMS friends snaffled up what was left and SWIM never saw it again.

He's had tabs since then but they didnt even come close to that experience

Reading your great story is making me forget about my bad experience right away!:d
It remembers me of the good times i had on LSD, especially of my first trips i had on LSD, but unfortunatly, nowadays it's impossible to tell what you are really getting, it could be the real deal, give you extreme bliss and happyness, make you laugh your balls off, but at the same time you really don't know anymore, for all you know it could be something completely different, make you go nuts for over 8 hours and make you feel like shit for a week or more.

I just need to find a reliable source again before i'm gonna do acid again, untill then, no more acid or whatever it is being sold for for me.I can't afford to play with my sanity anymore, i need to know if it's really acid on a blotter, or i won't take blotters anymore, such a shame it has to be like this.

It's disgusting that people are selling "i dunno what" as acid, those people should be dosed highly on their own supply and be locked up inside a coffin on an abandoned cemetery for all i care.:evil:
 
How hard is it to make LSD by your self?
I have 2 blotters that are supposed to be 250mic but I just don't trust it to be real LSD so they're just sitting in my drawer. I'm not eating something that could be some shit RC. But maybe I have 2 real good blotters there and I will never know :(

It's pretty much impossible.
 
SWIM's been hearing things. Apparently it's fairly abundant about 8hr from SWIM. SWIM only came across real LSD once where he is, and it was cheap and apparently brought back from Amsterdam (among the greatest and worst experiences SWIM's ever had). The other two times he's done it have definitely been RC's.

I'm fairly certain that many of the bands I listen to these days are fairly heavy into it.

People severly over estimate how hard it is to make a batch of LSD. It is not even close to impossible. It takes serious dedication and a willingness to learn and understand chemistry. The chemistry isn't even that complex. Takes some coin too. Not that hard. How much room you got to grow morning glory? Not the most efficient way to make a large batch but if it just for personal consumption it is suitable. The hardest part is sourcing the needed reagents.
 
Hey all :)

I have some time on my hands today and was planning to take the blotter i have stashed away. The trouble is that it's unknown in stength to me and could be mega strong or fairly weak. I'm about as certain as you can be tho that it does indeed have lsd on it..i'm not worried if it is really stong as i'm ready to go deep today...in fact want too!

What i wanted to know...Has anyone smoked DMT on a acid trip? I've done mushies+spice and it was amazing...just thinking that if its weak i could have a bowl of spice mid-way through.

I tried it and didnt like.. it was as if the acid molecule was somehow grounding me and I couldnt be transported anywhere.... it gave some sharp dmt visuals but thats about it... felt kinda wrong, but thats just me

I'd much rather take mushies and dmt instead, and take acid by itself :) Some people like it though, I dont know..
