Can't log in with older forum credentials

I'm delighted by the new forum's appearance and functionality.
I'm unable to access the new forum with my older username and password and I'm also unable to create a new user with my old email because "the email already exists".
What should I do?

You cannot directly use the old credentials

Instead log into the old forum and you got a PM from the traveller with a New Password.that s the one to use. Then after logging in here you can still change it back to the old, as you will probably want.

Reverting to the previous password could be considered to be poor security practice. It is strongly encouraged that a new, highly secure password is set after migrating one's account here.
