Hello again. This is an easily answered question about casing.

I've done quite a few grows with various strains but don't bother using a casing layer, till now that is and Im wondering if using a casing slows down the fruiting process at all?

Im goin camping in 2 weeks and really want to get these guys fruiting asap. The bulk sub is fully colonized and was cased 2 days ago so should I maybe remove it or leave it as is?

If you use a non-nutritious casing like vermiculite, it won't slow fruiting down. The purpose is to keep the substrate moist. If you use something like coco coir, the mycelium will colonize the casing adding an extra day or two.

I wouldn't mess with it...especially not if you cased two days ago, as the mycelium will already be working its way into the casing.

There's no need to add a casing layer to cubes, imo.
