Choosing between psychedelics

Most hallucinogens/psychedelics have a really long effect or have other downsides... Here, I'm looking for a psychedelic with the following properties:
1. Should not have an effect much longer than 1 hour (but not as short as 10 mins)
2. Should have a natural background
3. Has a medium potency/strength
4. Ability to be taken orally


In my research I found the following psychedelics, but they all had a downside or there was insufficient information to distinct all of them:

Salvia divinorum [too intense]
Magic Truffles [too long effect]
Magic Shrooms [too long effect]
Leonurus sibiricus
Canavalia maritima
Heimia salicifolia
Hennepolie
Banisteriopsis caapi
Mimosa hostillis
Jurema preta
Chaliponga
Chacruna
Peganum harmala
Syrian/african rue
Mescalin

So, I was interested to see if any of you guys have found a psychedelic that matches my criteria...

Changa. A little experimentation with different mixes of vaped DMT and Harmalas will get you there. Also insufflated DMT can do what you want, but the required dose is larger so it's kind of a waste compared to vaping it.

Thanks for your idea, but changa isn't available in the smartshop near me... Isn't it just a mix of some of the herbs above? Also I found that it's effect only lasts 12 minutes, which is, even for me, too short...
To answer your question: I've done truffles once, but I think it lasts too long

Vaping DMT may only last 10 minutes or so but snorting DMT lasts more like 30 minutes. Taking an MAOI before taking DMT will slow down your body metabolising the DMT and prolong the effects. Mixing an MAOI with DMT has the same effect. I have had vaped DMT last around 45 minutes when mixed with harmalas. Syrian Rue is a commonly available MAOI. Evaporating DMT and harmalas onto herbs is called Changa and can be mixed in any ratio you find most effective for you, the exact mix being the result of experimentation.

Alright, so if i want to take changa, I'll need Syrian rue, harmala and dmt (and mix it so I can snort it?) ... But then I'll have to extract DMT from a plant first, or not?
Isn't there an easier way to have a trip (aiming for a different extract/plant/fungi)?

I mean ime chewing and sucking on about 3-4 grams of heavenly blue seeds for about 15-20 minutes leads to a mildly psychedelic, relaxed experience lasting from like 4-6 hours

I recommend Caapi or Syrian Rue tea. This fits your criteria

Knowing what you want is good, but being too specific may rob you of important possibilities. The effects of all psychedelics are dependent on dose and method of delivery. For example, Salvia is intense if smoked as an extract, but rather mellow when chewed as a leaf.

I'm curious by the way, what exactly do you want this for? What kind of experience do you want? Do you want to heal? Seek insight? Work Magick? Just trip balls for a bit? It's possible that even if you do find a psychedelic that fulfills your time and strength criteria, it might have a different agenda from yours, and thus be a bad match.

EDIT: OK it's just Dutch for "Hemp oil".

Oral cannabis can be pretty psychedelic, but also long-lasting so, OP, you'll maybe want to cross that one off the list. I'd say it's worth investing the time now and again...

Ketamine seems to fit your criteria, if you have access to it. You'll want to follow harm reduction practices with anything you decide to try.
