1. Dissolve all of your harmala HCl into water.

2. Add a little NaOH and stir with a glass rod until the colour of the solution suddenly changes to white.

3. Let the formed freebase crystals settle at the bottom.

4. Siphon off the water at the top and keep the freebase at the bottom.

5. Repeat step #4 until the siphoned water is transparent and clear (no colour).

6. Filter freebase thru a coffee filter and let dry.

7. Add the freebase to enough dilute pH3 HCl until all is dissolved (converted into salt)

8. Now you shall have a crisp and transparent solution with a yellow hue, let dry completely in a glass dish.

9. Excess acid and water has evaporated, only harmala salts remains; Enjoy pure Harmala HCl.
