so let the pics speak for themselves:lol:

first pic is an overall view 8)
second is my TBM throwing 4 new pups atm
third is my terschekii
4th is pedro
5th torch long thorns
6th -7th :here come the problems: i bought as bridgesii but they clearly are not! they have mixed features of macrogonus and cuzcoensis imho..tell me! anyway, probably useless stuff
8th i bought it as peruvianus but once again i think it could be cuzcoensis even if it's veery different from the other two and it's the most blue of the other 2,need advice!

all the tons of lil fellas u see in the overall pic are all achuma seedlings!

thank you all, hope u enjoy the pics! 😁

How to update pictures? i try to upload a pic but it fails everytime!! wtf.. :thumb_dow

yeah it has thrown out 4 new pups this year..
i'm doping it with enzimes, microelements, fertilizers, vitamins and hormones lol

it's the first trichocereus i bought that's why it's the only one that is pupping atm.
hope to see the others growing soon! i potted them about 2 weeks ago.

have u any idea on the ID of the last 3? :surprised

;) i think, personally, after a good nutrientization and all the hormones and enzymes and everything is big enough

yiou should leave it alone~! give it some harsh conditions, starve thebuggers, abuse em, give em a taste of what nature does

...just my opinion..i dont grow many cactuses...

well but they're fkn slow that i wanna bump up their growth to the max! a guy today said me that they actually grow better in semi shadow spots when i've always thought that they like full sun! :?

nice haul and obsessive new habit :)

sure full sun in the pacific northwest- cool areas of northern EU
1/2 shady spot in california central valley- hot southern EU

they certainly look healthier grown in partial shade vs full sun in my climate (Nor Cal)

lets see the #6-7 plants grow up a bit- but they do look somewhat cuzco. not sure though.
(surgically remove a tiny sliver and see if it is bitter- if so there may be hope)
8 looks very nice

old sunburn damage on the TBM?

caution over feeding when they are young- begin npk rations slowly and moderately until rapid active growth is happening. like 1/10 to 1/4 strength feed for the smaller babies for the next few years

:)

thank you man! the last one is what i've bought as peruvianus..it's the most blue of all, even more than cuzcos!

the sunburnt happened easly spring when i put it out in full sun! :S

i sprayed it with copper sulphate as prevention from molds and fungi and it did its job! 😉

about the 2 supposed 'cuzcos' i'm not sure..they're very blue and has thorns that are red at the bottom and not on the top..

check Avertissement de redirection

maybe it's an hybrid? i thought it could be a macrogonus x cuzcoensis but i'm not sure..

Nice colection. Now you got to have patience with the seedlings.. 4 years it took for me to have them as big as one foot..

The sunburn on the TBM will made them tougher. I have 15 cacti as big as one foot at least, and half of them I planted on the ground and the other half is still on the pots. The ones on the ground, some of them got sunburned at the base near the ground. I was worried at first but after one month, with regular watering (it's very hot these days) they got greener than before, except the sunburn scare. But I dont mind it is kind of sexy

Do you feel the TBM is a slow grower? Since when do you have your TBM?
About the last 3 cacti.. I'm not sure but all of them have T. peruvianus characteristics, but probably are hibrids with other Trichos.

i noticed that my TBM has cracked between the white and the healthy green spots..but copper sulphate has prevented molds or fungi..i suggest you to spray yours on the base or brush them with it just as precaution. it doesn't hurt at all to them :)

how old is my tbm...i've seen now an old pic when it has just the first 3 clumps and it was in 2011 spring.not sure if i bought it with just 2 clumps in 2010..don't remember!

hostilis,we have OCD and both compulsive cacti shoppers!! haha that's nice

not just cacti btw, anything drug realted! lol it makes me feel better to have my sustainable psychedelic stock!

Actually my cacti that got sunburned are also cracking a little.. got to spray some sulphate on them that is a good advise.

I thought that TBM were slow growers, that is a good rate of grow IMO. I'm asking cause next week I recieve MY TBM :p and a crested pachanoi

is your TBM same clone of mine or is it the other one? the other seems to be much slower from what i've heard around. it's very hard that it throws pups :|

no need to spray damaged spots unless you are in a particularly humid climate.
i've never sprayed fungicide on my cacti in 10 years- even during cold/wet winter damage times

DiMiTriX, it is the bushy variety, I attach a pic of the cactus I ordered, it's like yours. Nice eh?! So the columnar TBM are slower? What is the potency of the TBM's?

dg, here where I live the winters can be quite humid.. and the ones that are outside, stay outside. I want to harden them with the hard way.

I've got three clumping BM left and one started to cluster...after just one year. It's the one i harvested from except for main cactus. IT really amazes me how fast the clumps grow. You can see progress weekly. I would say they're double the potency of regular bridgesii.
