Well, here is my experimental self-report, which just ended about 5 minutes ago, so I better hurry up and type...
I took a finger full of confusa and ate it straight, no brewing or anything, washed it down with water.
I continued my work, not expecting anything to happen, I started small. But I listen to my mind and body well, so I can detect shifts easily.
After about 20 minuted it seemed, I started to feel really strange. My heartbeat increased, and I was starting to not recognize the room I had been in all day. The sunlight coming through the windows increased 10 fold, and the walls looked bent and warped, sort of like I was in a Picasso or for sure Van Gogh painting. I went outside and the clouds looked as they do on about 10-15 mils of mimosa crystals. Everything was brighter and more beautiful. I felt as though I was at some sort of vacation spot, away from where I actually was as if I was somewhere on an island that I had never been before.
At moments like these I critically evaluate and monitor whether or not I am inducing a placebo effect on myself. For the first 5 minutes I was convincing myself that that had to be the case since a fingerfull is such a small amount, but once it reached some point, I was like “Nope. This is really happening.”
I didn’t watch the clock, but the whole experience seemed to last about 20, maybe 30 minutes.
I’m sure that brewing must have more of an effect, but eating it straight definitely does work as well. Also, since I ate such a small amount, I don’t know if brewing would have been able to do much better.
Wow, what a nice option to have!
