I've been reading through this document "Antioxidant Activity and Phenolic Compounds of 112 Traditional Chinese medicinal plants.."
(Which i've posted here: Phenolic Compounds in Various Herbs)
So far I have come across two very interesting plants, the first of which is
Coptis Chinensis I believe the root is used traditionally.
Chinese Gold Thread
Was found to contain, Magnoflorine, Berberine, Palmatine, Hydrastine and Coptisine "among others"
Magnoflorine is said to be anxiolytic.
Coptisine is a reversible MAO A Inhibitor.
Palmatine is considered to have anti-inflammatory properties.
If someone can please help me to find a full bioassay of Coptis Chinensis to add to this OP I would appreciate it.
Scutellaria Baicalensis The root is also used.
Baikal Skullcap was found to contain Chrysin, Baicelain, Baicalin, Wogonin, Norwogonin, Oroxylin A, and β-sitosterol.
Baicalein is an inhibitor of the enzyme CYP2C9. An enzyme which "often metabolizes 5-hydroxytryptamine"
Anyone with advanced chemistry knowledge care to chime in about how Baicalein might affect metabolization of DMT? Or how It might affect a psychedelic experience in general?

Wogonin Anxiolytic
Oroxylin A A Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor
Again a full Bioassay would be helpful for understanding the pro's and cons of these herbs .
