Couple basic questions

What is all the white powder covering everything after all this cooking? Is it all Dmt or other stuff? I've been meticulously trying to collect it but am wondering if I'm wasting my time. Is it lye too?

Also, once you basify your water can you keep using it and if so how much. I've also been reusing it and adding more lye to it. From the teks these questions I'm asking didn't really seem to be covered. Answers would help a lot if anyone has any. Thanks!

Depends what tek you used pure dmt does come out white sometimes yellow if the naphtha you used had other ingredients maybe post a picture if you can and I might be able to explain what it is, also if your not to experienced at extracting/making dmt I recommend doing gordo tek with mhrb there’s a video which makes it way easier,also you don’t need to add more lye to the mhrb\acrb once you have prepared it you usually do a pull the first day then 2 days later then a week and finally 2 weeks but u could do it again until all the dmt is extracted hope this helps bud I’m not to experienced myself but I try to help :thumb_up:

Thanks. Honestly I read a few s/b teks and jotted down the common denominators and did several pulls with around 30g's mhrb/30g lye/500ml agua/20ml naptha and evaporated the naptha. I didn't pay much mind to the yellow/brown'ishness as I just wanted to get rolling and be a perfection maybe in my next life. Unless this is important for the desired effect. Idk. But that's only noob question you don't find the answer to easy browsing the net. And I got about 1g of the pictured. I won't do the math but I know it should be enough to confirm its good or not and it's not after consuming a whole bunch in my standard wood pipe.

Maybe there's something to my slow and relaxed method that didn't cut it as recently this shaman rushed 3 good hits in me ofn"xanga" with a bong like I was chugging beer lol. Little time to hold it. I did order "mimosa hostilis" so maybe my brand isn't good. Read a couple places in here about bad material. So maybe a different vendor is needed. I've seen a couple.

So anything white is good right? I'll reuse my basified water and try freezing this time. From what I've read you can brew it from 2-24 hrs with basic s/b teks. I've been doing at least 2hrs with a heated magnetic stirrir. Maybe too hot at like 120F. My stuff seems more powder than crystal/salt.

That stuff is contaminated with your base soup. You need to clean it up with a recrystallisation or a mini A/B. There's no way all of your >3% yield is the desired goods.

It's worth being meticulous when separating the naphtha pulls from your base soup, to avoid droplets of base soup getting into your crystallisation dish. This can be as simple as transferring your naphtha via a glass jug before putting it into the dish.

Freeze precipitation will result in a nicer product than evaporation, if you have that option.

Thanks. But is the contamination the reason it's not working after smoking like .4g of it? I don't get it. If I drink a cup of coffee contaminated with cream I'll still get the caffeine. I'd this different? I'm wondering if I need a different brand of MHRB

0.4g = 400mg. What do you consider to be "like" 400mg? 300mg? 40mg? 500mg? Also, what type of scale are you using? Does it measure at a milligram (0.001g) resolution?

It's extremely unlikely you'd manage to smoalk 400mg in one, two or even three goes. If you didn't experience some kind of effect - even with 40mg - it's highly likely your vaporization technique is way off. Maybe you could describe that process in detail to get a better picture across. For example, if you're combusting the DMT it won't have any effect.

Anyhow, clean up your product and look into ways you can improve your vaporization technique.

"vaporization technique"? Are you talking about evaporating the naptha? If so I put it on 5 the plate and placed it under the fan above my stove. If not I gotta study up some more maybe and I'll search the site for that term.

Basically, I've either ground the bark or not, and ground it after a couple pulls, used 30g/30g lye/500ml water on a magnetic stirrir for up to a couple hrs, the heat at medium, maybe too hot, I'm guessing 150f, cuz to hold to pour it into this separation funnel I got it was pretty hot to hold. I've given it up to an hour occasionally stirring with the naptha(before putting in funnel), letting it sit long enough til the naptha at the top is clear then extracting the brown water. As far as how dirty my end product is, that's due to me trying not to lose any of the naptha releasing the brown water and inevitably leaving a bit in with the naptha. I've since learned to sacrifice a bit of the naptha just to make sure the end naptha is crystal clear. I'm now using the water again anyway(to reuse any left over naptha)

So I'll read up some more. Thanks for the tips. My scale reads up to .001. So yeah, I smoked more than one should need to.

I meant vaporization of the resulting DMT freebase, immediately prior to its inhalation by the test subject. There are plenty of descriptions on the forum for achieving successful vaporization, and nowadays a plethora of pipes and other devices to choose from.

If you really used 400mg and experienced nothing then you must have done something wrong. Did the DMT go up in flames? Did you exhale the smoke almost immediately? Did you even manage to inhale any of it?!?

As far as how dirty my end product is, that's due to me trying not to lose any of the naptha releasing the brown water and inevitably leaving a bit in with the naptha.

Yes, that was pretty obvious to me. Use a glass jug to catch those brown remnants before transferring the naphtha into the precipitation dish.

Freeze precipitation is better than evaporation of the naphtha for recovering the goods. Although there are a couple of caveats about this. Of course you'll need a decent freezer, and naphtha that contains aromatics - toluene and xylene - won't freeze precipitate (nor will limonene).

Okay, so it CAN touch fire but vaporization is better. Cuz I did this recently with "xanga" which the shaman used a lighter and bong with. And it definitely worked. And yes I inhaled properly lol. That much I know. And held it long enough. It didn't go up in flames, it just like melted away. Also I'll note that the first time I tried freezing it but nothing froze to the top. I just got a milky swirl of stuff. I left it in the freezer about a 6 hrs. I'm using klean strip VM&P naptha. Not at home now but I dont recall seeing ingredients listed. So IDK. I'll definitely try another brand of MHRB. Thanks again
