Dab rig help?

So... just wasted 30mg trying to smoke through a dab rig with an e-nail.

It was 3 10mg hits.

One at 150.. didn't work at all, put the heat up to 200. Melted no hit

One at 250

One at 280

Using a carb cap for it also, the DMT is just melting and we aren't really getting any smoke. Just a mild taste

Any help ?

Also the nail isn't clean, it's been user for shatter etc before. If that's any useful info

Got a small pipe we could use for the sandwich. Only have tobacco and ash at hand though

Get a dab rig with a quartz banger and heat it up. Then let it rest for 20 seconds or so (you'll figure out what works best with your rig through trial and error) then dump your.spice.in and carb cap it... thats what i do and its been pretty successful. Although the machine is my go to method
