Dark trips

Hmmm... My last two trips were pretty dark. Nothing that scared me, but very monotone and dark and kind of ugly to be perfectly honest. It was almost as if the DMT didn't want me to take it, at least that's how it felt while I was there.

There were there dark waves of matter undulating. No sign the the entity I normally encounter. However, I did ask if that was her. No answer.

Very weird. Never had this experience before. My DMT trips have always been very strange, but pleasant and colorful.

This can happen sometimes I’ve never been able coralate any
consistent cause . I’ve had it happen even under the best of circumstances . Burning it can definitely cause issues but beyond that it’s a mystery to me .

And why are you using it recreationally (to just get high) instead of trying to improve your self through self exploration? Thats clearly the case to me (my opinion) since you aim to have bright colorfull, funny, euphoric..etc. experiences. Most people don't achieve insight/enlightenment while playing in the park or watching cinema, but from terrible/terrifying "ugly" life experiences, very traumatic ones, like war, death..etc.

I only made a comparison between coloration between these two last trips, and the trips before.

What is wrong with using DMT in a recreational manner, or any psychedelic for that matter? Is it wrong to have fun? I mean, psychedelics are pretty whacky to begin with so I think it is a bit presumptuous to say that DMT can/should only be used "this way" or "that way." There really is no rule book. As long as one approaches the molecule with respect, who has the right to say how it should be used beyond that? Who draws that line for everyone else?

In my experience, it is a powerful, unpredictable substance that tends to have a self-correcting effect on people. Abuse or careless neglect often leads to terrifying hyperslaps, which generally act as a bit of a wake up call for the user. Happened to me many times before I quit drinking alcohol (with the help of DMT, btw).

My point is this: there is a time and place for all approaches. Recreational use does not automatically equal abuse and the spiritual/improve yourself approach doesn't automatically bring about change, enlightenment, or anything special. They all require additional work from the user before any real magic happens. Sometimes having fun is all one needs. Sometimes a deeper approach is warranted. Both are equally valid and should be explored, in my humble opinion.

I know I should be taking a break, but today I felt the call of DMT; and decided to go with my instinct come what may.

I kept the flame farther away from the pipe this time, and received a pleasant vapor, which I barely felt.
After two tokes, I barely had a chance to put down the pipe, before I launched into hyperspace.

The entity was back. So beautiful, so comforting, so familiar. I found myself constantly talking to it during the the trip, thanking her for such a beautiful experience.

I could tell she was back at the start of the trip, as this impossible geometry took her form. She proceeded to guide me though things that as you well know, language cannot describe.

In any case, I came back blissful and thankful. This is the best antidepressant there is for me. My eyes were tearing from the emotion caused by all that beauty.

I think I was possibly burning the DMT before. Still finessing the technique.

I remember a group of people was saying that DMT oxide was responsible for some peoples dark trips, and that could be the reason in this case because of direct flame? What was the source (whcih plant rb) the DMT was extracted from, could it be trace amounts of 5-meo-dmt?

Once again excuse me about my earlier comment JKW, it was inappropriate and rude, if you want i can remove it. But this is part of why i love the Nexus, because when i write some bullshit, i got my bullshit detectors here and they (you Nexians) will always tell me when im wrong, so thank you!

The answer is both yes and no. Extra steps are often included in Acacia confusa extractions.

Hey!

I will provide you with some interesting threads here on the nexus that exlpain the general idea behind A/B extractions.

To answear you question first: YES! :lol: Generally teks arent different between MHRB and ACRB or any other plant material, the only difference is from additional steps (like defating, which is removing plant fats/oils so you get crystals instead of waxy/oily DMT) ACRB generally contains more fats/oils than MHRB thats why when using ACRB teks incluce defat.
Other variations between different teks are: NaCL salting, mini A/Bs, backsalting, sodium bi/carb wash, evap vs freeze percip..etc.

Most teks are based on the Acid/Base extraction process, so before choosing any tek i suggest you learn basic chemistry its really fun acutally.
