DEA Backtracks on Scheduling Five Tryptamines

Migrated topic.
That's good news. Notably, nearly 600 complaints on the record seem to have served some purpose here.

In case anyone wonders which substances were in the firing line and is too lazy to click a couple of links, look no further:
Which psychedelics does the DEA want to ban?

DEA wants to ban the following psychedelic substances, as well as their salts, isomers, and salts of isomers:

4-Hydroxy-N,N-diisopropyltryptamine (4-OH-DiPT)
5-Methoxy-alphamethyltryptamine (5-MeO-AMT)
N-Isopropyl-5-Methoxy-N-Methyltryptamine (5-MeO-MiPT)
N,N-Diethyl-5-methoxytryptamine (5-MeO-DET)
N,N-Diisopropyltryptamine (DiPT).

According to the DEA, these substances “share structural and pharmacological similarities with several schedule I tryptamine hallucinogens, such as alpha-methyltryptamine (AMT), N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), 5-methoxy-N,N-diisopropyltryptamine (5-MeO-DiPT), and psilocyn [sic].”

The DEA could really do with learning how to spell 'psilocin'...
