Deciding on a DMT extraction Tek for my first time

Migrated topic.
Hey guys! It's been a while, life has been busy! But have continued to extract and learn. Thought I would post a picture of some beautiful Xtals I extracted a while back. 🙌😊 happy to get back into the groove of learning and being back on the new forum!

Congrats!

It looks like you've figured it out.

Hey there - great to see you back here! Those fine clusters crystals are a splendid and stylish way of making a return - how could we have expected anything less? 🌞

Do you have any method notes for them? Were seed crystals used? Was it perhaps the slow evaporation of solvent that gave such impressive results? It really is a delight to see such results of the artistry that must have been brought to the process.

Welcome back, indeed!

I am actually currently working on some extractions to recreate these size xtals and then going to write up my findings and how to make them.

These beauties were grown over two days at around 15 degrees C which was the room temperature at the time, not in the freezer. These were from 2 pulls from 400g bark, using the max ion tek. They were also grown in a Consol jar which is slightly square at the bottom therefor giving them a better spot to grow from in the corners. I did not use any seed xtals for them.

I will post exact pull sizes/bark amount/temps and anything else once I have perfected it.

Thanks, good to be back and getting into some other teks I want to do! 🤗

Here are them growing in the 1L Consol jar. It seems they gravitate towards the corners but could just be coincidence. Also added a cool microscopic shot of the xtals up close for fun 😁

Last week's extraction I did at slightly colder temps at 3 pulls from 400, so the solvent was more saturated as well. I think this resulted in the smaller clusters that grew instead of the big ones. I will with my next extraction create the exact conditions and other factors to recreate the big clusters in 2 days. Will post a write up once I have.

The DMT Handbook has a section on Crystal Growing that is similar to your methods.

It says to evaporate slowly at room temperature, using highly refined DMT in an excessive amount of NPS, in a deep-shaped container. They used a wine glass.

Cool ill go check it out. Although this didn't require any evaporation or re-xing. This was just from two pulls left out at room temp in a Mason type jar for two days and they grew themselves. But definitely some similarities....

Here's another thread about growing big crystals:
(sadly, the pics didn't make it through the forum migration as of yet).
