Migrated topic.
Awesome
The future is looking good.
That and the E-tracer is like a bullet... i wanna see them drive it through a semi haha.

its cool, but you can get a 2000 dollar bike that does 85mpg, at least. as low as 750 even. the price is absolutely exorbitant. pretty neat though.

The technology is coming on in leaps and bounds and with that the prices will improve. They now have an electric motorcyle race as part of the isle of man TT but i find the lack of engine noise a little disconcerting. Maybe they should rig up fake exhausts with speakers in the end to which you load a variety of your favourite exhaust notes or even personal soundtracks. I think that would help with the safety aspect with the "sorry mate i didn"t see you" types :)

And you can have a clean conscious knowing your not harming momma Earth.

you're still purchasing mass produced luxury goods made with alloys and plastics and chemicals, probably using rare earth elements mined by slaves owned by warlords who butcher and rape, and electricity isn't exactly clean - emissions happen at the power plants.

im not dissing it, if i could afford it i'd get one too. as it stands, its price is more then the entire cost of maintenance and productivity of me as a human for a whole year.

its nice to see that we don't need gas to move fast.

they've made 10$ footbikes out of cardboard that can carry 400 pounds, distributing them so kids in 3rd world nations can reach schools.

Anything is possible with technology

scary and exhilarating...

What an early bird, very smart man. GREAT idea and looks cool.

But I don't know.. besides being "ecological" and all, I personally think it would take all the fun out of riding a motorcycle. It would be just like getting into your car every morning.

Can its windows open or would that affect the balancing system? You need summer breeze on a bike with your female companion!

The self balancing bit about this is really cool.

Yeah, hybrid and electric cars really aren't the solution advertisers make them out to be. Once you factor in the resources it takes just to make the batteries you've put a pretty big dent in the environment before the thing is even on the road.

Don't get me wrong, I'm for more environmentally friendly vehicles. But a lot of the hybrid and electric car companies are more interested in selling us a clean conscience than a clean-environment.
